This is my article

Welcome to my second weekly blog post! As you may already know within these blogs I will try my best to summarize what I have been working on in my computer science 2 class. However, due to some last minute emergencies on Thursday I did not show up to school. Consequently, I could not finish and publish my second Astroblog post on time. I apologize for the belated post, but the show must go on.

Last week my class has been working on our 20% project. The 20% project is a project that involves us deciding to make a website or app relating to one of our own personal interests. Initially, I intended to create another website dedicated to my number one passion: meteorology! However, my teacher advised that I should push myself and work on an app all about my interest in all things weather. Of course I do not know how to create an app from complete scratch. (Also I am not referring to the well-known programming language called Scratch!) Thus I followed a tutorial called StickerSmash.

Throughout the previous week I worked on progressing through the aforementioned tutorial. However, I ran into quite the predicament when my assigned MacBook endured some malfunctions and errors, so someone from our school’s I.T. department took care of it. For that entire day I had to login and set up my GitHub account on an alternative MacBook, and I restarted the progress I made on the StickerSmash tutorial. Now I am finally back on track, and I have made more progress on the 20% project albeit on a different MacBook.

I personally believe that it is highly unrealistic to expect everything to go as planned within computer science 2 and computer science in general because there’s always errors and unexpected problems that pop up out of nowhere to enhance your learning. Whether those problems be a simple bug in your code or restarting your progress on a project, they all provide valuable takeaways.

That’s all for this week’s Astroblog that was supposed to be published last week! Make sure to read my next Astroblog that should be not only finished but also published on time!
